On Saturday 25th October, Voluntary Sector Gateway West Lothian (VSGWL) joined thousands of people, community organisations, and trade unions at the Scotland Demands Better march in Edinburgh.
The nationwide event brought together over 230 organisations, calling for urgent action to tackle poverty, strengthen public services, and build a fairer, more equal Scotland.
VSGWL attended to stand in solidarity with the communities and voluntary organisations we support across West Lothian—many of whom are working tirelessly on the front line to support those affected by the cost of living crisis.
As West Lothian’s third sector interface, we believe that a fairer Scotland must recognise and invest in the vital contribution of the voluntary sector in building stronger, more resilient communities.
