West Lothian Youth Action Project (WLYAP) is excited to announce a special fundraising event taking place on Friday 8th August in Craigshill. To help raise vital funds, the project is organising a 500-mile challenge, encouraging participants to walk, cycle, or swim to collectively reach this impressive distance.

To support and inspire everyone taking part, WLYAP has set up a dedicated Facebook group where participants can share their fundraising activities, photos, videos, and stories at their own pace. Whether you’re out on a walk, cycling route, or swimming session, you can post updates and encourage others to join the cause.

In addition, WLYAP has created a club on Strava, the popular fitness tracking and social networking app. Strava allows users to track their runs, cycles, and swims via GPS, analyse performance, and connect with fellow athletes. Anyone interested can download the app, join the club, and become part of the challenge community.

The aim is to raise £2,000 through their GoFundMe page, helping to fund youth projects and activities in West Lothian. Every step, pedal, or stroke brings the project closer to this target.

Get involved:

  • Join the Facebook group to share your progress and connect with others: Facebook Group

  • Join the Strava club to track your activities: Strava

  • Support the fundraising goal by donating here: GoFundMe

WLYAP warmly invites everyone to contribute time, share posts, donate, and most importantly, get moving to help make a difference in the lives of local young people.

Together, we can hit 500 miles and raise vital funds for West Lothian’s youth!
