Expressions of interest are now open for the Chair of the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board for Blackburn, Fauldhouse and Whitburn.
Pride in Place is a £20 million, 10-year UK Government programme designed to empower local communities to shape the future of their neighbourhoods. A local Neighbourhood Board will oversee the programme and work with the wider community to develop a plan for how funding is used.
The Chair will play a key role in leading this work, bringing together partners and ensuring community voices are central to decision-making.
The Chair should:
- Live or work within Blackburn, Fauldhouse or Whitburn
- Understand the opportunities and challenges facing the local communities
- Have experience building relationships with community groups, businesses and public sector partners
- Be able to work collaboratively to achieve shared goals
- Champion community voices and influence decision-making
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to community-led development
