Chair Opportunity – Pride in Place (Blackburn, Fauldhouse and Whitburn)

Expressions of interest are now open for the Chair of the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board for Blackburn, Fauldhouse and Whitburn.

Pride in Place is a £20 million, 10-year UK Government programme designed to empower local communities to shape the future of their neighbourhoods. A local Neighbourhood Board will oversee the programme and work with the wider community to develop a plan for how funding is used.

The Chair will play a key role in leading this work, bringing together partners and ensuring community voices are central to decision-making.

The Chair should:

  • Live or work within Blackburn, Fauldhouse or Whitburn
  • Understand the opportunities and challenges facing the local communities
  • Have experience building relationships with community groups, businesses and public sector partners
  • Be able to work collaboratively to achieve shared goals
  • Champion community voices and influence decision-making
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to community-led development
