Do you have an innovative idea that could help tackle social or environmental challenges in Scotland?
Applications are now open for the Social Innovation Challenge 2026, Firstport’s grant funding and support programme for people with ideas that have the potential to make a real difference.
The challenge is looking for innovative solutions that address one or more of the following priorities:
- Eradicating child poverty
- Growing the economy
- Tackling the climate emergency
- Ensuring high-quality and sustainable public services
The winning applicant will receive a £30,000 grant, along with tailored business support to help develop their idea. Two finalists will each receive £10,000, as well as introductions to further funding and support opportunities.
Previous winners have developed projects focused on tackling youth unemployment, reducing the cost of living for families and improving access to childcare in underserved communities.
