Barclays Access Grants are available through the Community Sport Fund to support organisations increasing participation in football, tennis and cricket for women and girls across the UK. The programme aims to tackle inequalities in sport by improving access and creating more inclusive opportunities at a local level.
Funding can support new activities, the expansion of existing programmes to reach new audiences, or the continuation of current provision. There is a strong emphasis on supporting groups who face barriers to participation, including racially diverse communities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ communities.
Grants of up to £1,000 revenue funding are available. In addition to financial support, successful applicants will also have access to training and practical resources to help strengthen delivery and sustainability.
Applications are open to not-for-profit organisations, including community groups, youth organisations and sports clubs delivering (or planning to deliver) football, tennis or cricket activities for women and girls. Priority will be given to organisations working in, or supporting people from, areas of high deprivation (Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation areas 1–3). Disability organisations outwith these areas may also apply where activities are specifically for women and girls.
The deadline for applications is Wednesday 27th May 2026.
