The Ethnic Minority Development Fund (EMDF), delivered by CEMVO Scotland, supports grassroots ethnic minority-led organisations across Scotland to access funding, build capacity and strengthen long-term sustainability.
The fund is open to third sector organisations where at least 60% of the board and leadership are from ethnic minority backgrounds.
Funding is available for projects that benefit ethnic minority communities and must be used for the specific purpose applied for. Applications should demonstrate how the project will contribute to at least one of the following outcomes:
- bringing people together and building strong relationships across communities
- supporting more ethnic minority people to thrive through early intervention
- improving places and spaces important to ethnic minority communities
For 2026, grants of between £500 and £15,000 are available, with a total funding pot of £500,000.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 26th May 2026.
