Charity Trust Grants Available for Community Projects in West Lothian

Local organisations and community groups delivering activities that benefit their communities are being invited to apply for funding through charity trust grants administered by West Lothian Council.

These trusts were established through charitable bequests to support communities across the West Lothian area. Funding is available for specific projects, events or one-off costs where the activity aligns with the purpose and geographic focus of each individual trust.

Who can apply?

Applications are welcome from organisations, charities and community groups that:

  • Deliver activities in one of the following areas:

    • Armadale

    • Boghall

    • Bathgate

    • Uphall Parish area

  • Can demonstrate that their project aligns with the purpose of a specific trust

  • Are applying for a defined project, event or one-off cost

  • Can provide:

    • A governing or constitutional document

    • A recent bank statement

    • A signed application from an authorised officer

Available Trusts

Bathgate and Boghall Youth and Community Endeavour Trust
Supports activities that encourage young people in Bathgate and Boghall to take part in community or individual initiatives that improve their wellbeing and benefit the wider community.

Mrs Violet Kirk Bequest
Provides funding for organisations delivering activities that benefit the local community in the Bathgate area.

Quarter Farm Mortification for Benefit of Poor
Supports organisations and community groups delivering activities that benefit people living within the Uphall Parish area.

Robert Turner of Armadale
Provides funding for community organisations delivering activities within Armadale.
