Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living (LCIL) is hosting a Community Connections peer support session at The Gateway in Bathgate on Thursday 29 October 2026, focusing on Personal Assistant (PA) employer roles and responsibilities.
The session will explore what it means to become a PA employer, including understanding the role of a Personal Assistant and the responsibilities involved in employing someone to provide support.
LCIL’s Community Connections peer support groups provide a welcoming and informal space for disabled people, older people, people with long-term health conditions and carers to connect with others and share their experiences of Self-Directed Support (SDS).
The sessions aim to strengthen participants’ knowledge, skills and confidence around SDS and the social care options available to them.
