West Lothian holding out the hand of friendship to Ukraine

VSGWL invites staff, volunteers and trustees from all third sector orgs, Social Enterprises, Community Councils, Community Development Trusts to attend an informal meeting with West Lothian Council and Voluntary Sector Gateway West Lothian (VSGWL).

The offer of help and support to individuals arriving from Ukraine is increasing. There has been a characteristically caring and generous response from the people of West Lothian since the invasion began, with countless individuals and local organisations coming forward with offers of support and donations. West Lothian Council has been working to closely with a number of UK and Scottish agencies to ensure everything is in place locally. This sessions will let West Lothian Council provide an overview of where we are and an opportunity for Third Sector to get an overview and get your thoughts on how we best coordinate support moving forward.
