Smaller charities across Scotland are invited to join a free online webinar designed to build confidence and skills in preparing compliant annual accounts.
Delivered by accounting specialists from the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), the session is aimed at organisations with limited resources or minimal accounting experience. The guidance will be practical, straightforward and tailored to the needs of smaller charities.
What the session will cover
Taking place on Tuesday 3 March 2026 (1:00pm – 2:00pm), the webinar will explain the key elements that should be included in charity accounts.
During the session, OSCR’s experts will:
-
Outline the essential reporting requirements for annual accounts
-
Share practical examples relevant to smaller organisations
-
Highlight common mistakes and how to avoid them
-
Explain how to present financial information clearly and accurately
Preparing for upcoming changes
The webinar will also cover upcoming changes to how charity accounts are published on the Scottish Charity Register. These updates are expected to affect how organisations prepare and submit their annual reports, making this a useful opportunity to understand what the changes will mean in practice.
How to take part
To attend, organisations should complete the online registration form.
Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance so that the Q&A session can address the most common issues and concerns.
For further information, visit the OSCR website.
Organisations may wish to share this opportunity with trustees, treasurers and anyone involved in preparing or reviewing charity accounts to help ensure their reporting meets current requirements.
