Youth Scotland is offering its Ready for Youth Work course, providing youth workers and volunteers with the knowledge and skills to confidently support young people in a safe, engaging and inclusive environment.
The free course is designed for anyone involved in youth work and covers the essential principles of planning, delivering and evaluating high-quality youth work sessions.

- An introduction to youth work
- Creating safe and supportive environments for young people
- Planning, delivering and evaluating youth work sessions
- Child protection awareness
- Youth participation and involving young people in decision-making
- The Hi5 Award and Dynamic Youth Award
- Celebrating and recognising young people’s achievements
Free Accredited Training
The course is completely free to attend. On successful completion, participants will receive an accredited qualification at SCQF Level 3.
