Community practitioners and volunteers across Scotland have the opportunity to apply for one of 40 fully funded delegate places to attend the Global Intergenerational Congress 2026, taking place in Glasgow from 29 September to 1 October 2026.

The funded places are being offered through Voices Less Heard, a new initiative led by Generations Working Together with support from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland. The initiative aims to ensure that people working within communities have the opportunity to contribute to conversations around intergenerational practice and learn from others across Scotland and beyond.

The three-day Congress will bring together delegates from around the world to explore innovative approaches to strengthening connections between generations. The programme includes keynote speakers, interactive workshops and practical case studies, giving participants the opportunity to exchange ideas, develop new skills and build lasting professional networks.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • A fully funded delegate place at the Global Intergenerational Congress 2026.
  • Up to £100 towards travel and accommodation costs for those travelling more than 30 miles from Glasgow.
  • Access to the Whova networking app, enabling delegates to connect with others before, during and after the event.

In addition, delegates will have the opportunity to apply for one of 16 funded places on the Creating Intergenerational Communities (CIC) training programme. This CPD-accredited course covers intergenerational practice, project evaluation and the use of the Intergenerational Quality Indicator Toolkit, helping participants strengthen their knowledge and bring new ideas back to their communities.

Whether you’re already delivering intergenerational activities or looking to develop your skills and knowledge, this is an excellent opportunity to learn from others, share experiences and help shape stronger, more connected communities.
