Third sector and community organisations across Scotland are invited to apply for the second round of the Gambling Harm and Mental Health Fund, supporting projects that address the impact of gambling-related harm on mental health.

The fund is being delivered by the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) in partnership with the Scottish Government’s Preventing Poor Mental Health and Suicide Unit. It aims to support community-led work that improves understanding of gambling harms, with a particular focus on their relationship with mental health and suicide prevention.

Funding is available for projects that explore how gambling harms affect disadvantaged, marginalised and minoritised communities, recognising the wider social, economic and environmental factors that can influence people’s experiences.

Applications must be submitted via the ALLIANCE’s online grant portal by 5:00pm on Friday 14 August 2026.

Online Information Sessions

To help organisations prepare their applications, the Scotland Reducing Gambling Harm Programme Team will be hosting online Q&A sessions. These sessions will cover:

  • The purpose and background of the fund.
  • Eligibility criteria and funding priorities.
  • Who can apply and guidance on conflicts of interest.
  • Key application dates and timescales.
  • An opportunity to ask questions.

The first session will take place on Tuesday 28 July, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Advance registration is required via the dedicated Humantix booking page to receive the Microsoft Teams joining link.
