Youth & Pathways Worker
The Youth & Pathways Worker will support young people aged 10–25 who may be at risk of, or affected by, antisocial behaviour, disengagement from education, youth justice involvement or other complex barriers.
The role combines relationship-based youth work with individual pathways support, helping young people build confidence, improve wellbeing, develop skills and progress towards positive destinations.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week for the first 12 months, reducing to 16 hours per week thereafter
Salary: £31,520.38 FTE, pro rata when working 16 hours
Contract: Fixed term to 31 March 2029
Location: West Lothian – multi-site community delivery
For the first 12 months, the position will combine Youth Worker duties with maternity cover for the Pathways Officer.
Key Worker – STEP IN
The Key Worker will provide relationship-based support to young people aged 16–19 participating in The Larder’s STEP IN Personal Skills Development Programme.
The role will support young people who may be unemployed, economically inactive, disengaged from services or experiencing barriers to learning, training and employment.
Hours: 22.5 hours per week – days and times to be confirmed and negotiable
Salary: £31,520.38 per annum pro rata
Contract: Fixed term to 30 April 2027
Location: Kirkton House, Livingston, with travel across West Lothian
Catering Assistant
The Larder is also looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistant to join its team.
The successful candidate will help provide excellent customer service and support the day-to-day operation of the café, while also working alongside trainees during their work placements.
Hours: 25 hours per week
Salary: Living Wage
Contract: Permanent, part-time
Location: The Larder Bakery, Bellsquarry, Livingston, with cover potentially required at other locations
LIFE Sessional Support Workers
The Larder is developing a pool of experienced sessional workers to provide additional support for its LIFE Programme.
LIFE supports young adults aged 16–25 with learning disabilities and additional support needs to build confidence, independence, friendships and self-expression. Sessional workers will help support practical, creative, wellbeing and community-based activities.
Hours: As and when required, mainly Monday–Thursday between 9:30am and 3pm
Rate: £18 per hour
Location: The Larder’s premises in Bellsquarry and Livingston Village
Contract: Self-employed sessional opportunity with no guaranteed hours
