The McCarthy Stone Foundation’s Christmas Connections programme is set to reopen in September 2026, offering small grants to organisations bringing older people together over the festive period.
The programme aims to help tackle loneliness and social isolation by supporting community activities that provide opportunities for older people to connect, socialise and enjoy companionship during Christmas.
Grants of up to £750 will be available to registered charities, community groups and Community Interest Companies (CICs) with an annual income of less than £250,000.
Funding is intended to support activities and events for people aged 65 and over that provide connection, companionship and engagement. Funded activities should take place between Wednesday 9 December 2026 and Saturday 2 January 2027.
Priority will be given to:
- Organisations working in areas of deprivation
- Activities taking place during the Christmas holiday period
The deadline for applications has not yet been announced.
