Missing Awareness Training for Third Sector Organisations

Missing People, the UK charity supporting people affected by missing incidents, is delivering a free online Missing Awareness session for third sector organisations across Scotland.

Funded by the Scottish Government, the training aims to increase understanding of missing incidents and help organisations build on good practice when supporting people who may be at risk of going missing.

The session will cover:

  • Identifying indicators that someone may be at risk of going missing
  • Best practice responses when supporting someone who has returned from a missing episode
  • Preventing future missing episodes
  • The National Missing Persons Framework
  • Missing People services, including the SafeCall service for children and young people
