A new free online Peer2Peer toolbox has been launched, bringing together practical and flexible learning resources for groups, services and organisations supporting people at different stages of their peer worker journey.
Shaped by peer workers, trainers and people delivering peer support across Scotland, the toolbox is designed to help people develop their knowledge, skills and confidence in peer support values and practice.
The resources are flexible and can be adapted depending on the needs of your organisation or learners. They can be used as a complete programme, as individual modules or as standalone learning sessions.
Peer2Peer has been developed as part of Strategic Action 2.3 – Champion Peer Support within the Scottish Government and COSLA’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
At the heart of the toolbox is the idea that everyone brings valuable experience and that learning happens when people share, listen and reflect together.
The resource may be particularly useful for organisations supporting people into peer roles, developing the skills of existing peer workers or delivering peer learning.
