Thursday 19 March – 6.30 to 8pm

Increase your confidence, strengthen your strategy, and unlock new funding opportunities

Are you a community group, charity, or social enterprise looking to secure funding in 2026?  If you want funding for place-based regeneration or other community projects, or are looking to access funds to help produce or implement a community action plan or local place plan, this event will be useful for you.

Join us for a practical and informative online workshop designed to help you navigate the funding landscape with clarity and confidence.  Hear from SCVOs Funding Development Officer about current funding trends for community organisations and what funders are prioritising right now, what’s changing in the sector, and what opportunities are emerging.  The workshop will explore:

Where to Find Funding Right Now – We’ll signpost you to funding databases and active funding streams currently open for applications

Current Trends, Challenges, and Opportunities – Gain insight into what funders are looking for, learn from peers, and discuss the funding opportunities and challenges community organisations are facing.

Practical, Light-Touch Funding Advice – Pick up simple, realistic tips to improve your applications, strengthen your case for support, and avoid common pitfalls.

Developing a Funding Strategy – Using tools and concepts from SCDC’s Building Stronger Community Organisations funding module, we’ll help you begin shaping a sustainable funding strategy that fits your organisation’s goals.

Useful Guides & Resources – Leave with a list of trusted guides, templates, and online tools to support your ongoing funding journey.

The SCDC Supporting Communities programme is part of the Scottish Government’s Strengthening Communities programme, specifically aimed at building and expanding the capacity of community anchor organisations and networks to take leading roles in local place-based regeneration where it already exists, and to help create the conditions for this where it does not.
