Development Officer (Partnerships)
I joined the Gateway in January 2022, as Development Officer for partnerships. My role is to work with a range of key external stakeholders, including statutory partners and wider third sector to bring about positive change for individuals and communities in West Lothian.
I have previously worked in the private sector for a pensions company before taking some time off as a carer, returning to work in a charity in West Lothian where I was the Development Officer before moving to The Gateway.
My move to working in the third sector came about because of a volunteer role I took up when caring. I could see how beneficial volunteering was to all parties and am delighted to now be working with an organisation that supports and helps both volunteers and third sector organisations.
Working part time allows me time to spend with family and friends and get to the gym when I can’t find a suitable excuse not to!
