The Forte Charitable Foundation runs a rolling small grants programme to support charities and not-for-profit organisations delivering frontline services to people experiencing disadvantage across the UK. The funding is intended to help with core and running costs, recognising the importance of strong, sustainable local organisations.

Funding is available for both rural and urban projects:

  • Rural projects must support communities with populations under 10,000 in remote or economically disadvantaged areas, where access to transport, services and fundraising opportunities may be limited. This could include village halls, community transport initiatives, or activities for older or younger people.
  • Urban projects must be located within the 15% most deprived areas nationally. Examples may include youth clubs, family support services, addiction recovery projects and community education programmes.

Grants range from £2,000 to £10,000 and can cover up to 50% of total project costs. The remaining funding must be secured from other sources. To be eligible, organisations must have an annual income of £250,000 or less. Please note that capital costs are not supported.

Applications are open on a rolling basis and begin with an online eligibility check via the Foundation’s website.
