This session will introduce the key principles of effective volunteer management and how to create a positive, well-supported volunteering experience.

- Legal and regulatory responsibilities
- The Volunteer Charter
- Safe and inclusive recruitment, including safeguarding and PVG considerations
- The volunteer management cycle
- Developing clear roles, inductions, training and ongoing support
- Volunteer policies, agreements and practical resources
This session is ideal for organisations looking to strengthen their volunteer programmes and build confidence in managing volunteers.
