West Lothian Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) has developed a draft Communications Strategy to support its ongoing work in tackling alcohol and drug-related harms across West Lothian.

The strategy aims to strengthen communication and engagement with staff, partners, and the wider community – including individuals in treatment and recovery, and their families – by developing clear tools and resources to share information and updates about the ADP’s work.

Developed in line with the West Lothian ADP Delivery Plan 2025–2028, the strategy has been shaped using the PANEL Principles and the FAIR Model, ensuring a rights-based and inclusive approach consistent with the AAAQ Framework.

To support understanding, three documents have been prepared:

The ADP is now inviting feedback from:

  • People with lived or living experience

  • Local community members

  • Staff and partners

A short Consultation Survey, created via Microsoft Teams, has been launched to gather views. Click here to access the survey.

The deadline for responses is Monday 3 November 2025, allowing sufficient time for feedback to be considered before the final strategy is presented to the ADP Executive later in November.
