West Lothian Drug and Alcohol Service (WLDAS) is currently recruiting for a Vaping, Children and Young People Capacity Building Project Worker (Trainer) to support the development and delivery of a new training programme across West Lothian.
This fixed-term pilot project, funded by NHS Lothian, aims to strengthen the confidence and capacity of professionals working with young people to respond effectively to the increasing prevalence of vaping among children and young people.
The role will involve developing and delivering training to secondary school staff and other professionals, particularly within SIMD 1 and 2 areas, as well as partnership working with agencies across West Lothian.
Post details:
- Fixed-term contract ending 12 months from agreed start date
- Part-time – 21.75 hours per week over 3 consecutive days
- Starting salary: £20,062.84 per annum (.6 FTE)
- Based across various West Lothian locations
- Office base: The Almondbank Centre, Craigshill, Livingston
WLDAS is a well-established third sector organisation with extensive experience delivering early intervention services, psychological therapies, training and education around alcohol, drugs and young people’s services.
The organisation is looking for someone who can support the creation and delivery of engaging training, work collaboratively with partners and help improve workforce confidence around vaping-related conversations and behaviour change approaches.
