The latest Whole Family Wellbeing Funding (WFWF) Newsletter has been released, bringing together key updates on policy developments, learning opportunities and examples of effective practice from across Scotland.
One of the headline announcements is the creation of the new Whole Family Support System Change Programme, which will bring together the Whole Family Wellbeing Fund, Fairer Future Partnerships and Early Adopter Areas into a single national programme from April 2027. During the 2026–27 transition period, partners are encouraged to continue delivering existing work while contributing to engagement and co-design activities that will help shape the future programme.
The June/July edition also includes a range of updates and resources, including:
- A reminder for Children’s Services Planning Partnerships to submit their Year 4 Whole Family Wellbeing Funding Annual Reports.
- Highlights from recent Learning into Action Network events, covering collaborative leadership, data sharing and systems change, along with details of forthcoming webinars and peer learning opportunities.
- Newly published Element 3 case studies, showcasing innovative approaches to strengthening whole family support across Scotland.
- A spotlight on East Ayrshire’s Grow Together service, which has provided early intervention and community-based support to more than 215 families.
- An update on the Whole Family Support through General Practice pilot, where positive early evaluation findings have led to additional investment and plans for further expansion.
- Links to new national resources, including the Tackling Poverty Locally case study directory, the Parenting Evidence Review 2025–26, and the new Early Years Data Profile to support local planning.
The newsletter offers valuable insight for organisations and professionals involved in delivering whole family support, with practical resources and opportunities to stay informed about the future direction of the programme.
