Grants of up to £25,000 are available to grassroots community organisations for projects that improve community spaces and places across the UK. This funding is being made available through the Asda Foundation’s Investing in Spaces and Places Grant programme, which this year will be awarding grants totalling £1 million.
The grants will cover costs such as building repairs, facilities improvements, and outdoor upgrades for properties owned or leased by community organisations. This could include roof repairs, electrical wiring upgrades, kitchen renovations, improving toilet facilities, or providing a communal garden area.
They particularly encourage applications from groups who:
- Are located in an area of deprivation
- Are inclusive and encourage diversity
- Are tackling food poverty
- Are tackling local crime/ anti-social behaviour
- Have a positive environmental impact
The closing date for applications is the 28 July 2024. Applications may close earlier if a large number are received.
