Community Project Co-ordinator

Community Action Blackburn

Salary: £16.80 per hour

Part time – 15 hours per week (Will involve hybrid working)

The post will be temporary for a period of 2 Years

As part of our future development, we are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to co-ordinate the work of our project. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on a number of tasks which will include communications, maintaining the link with and building new partnerships, funding, programme planning, administration and assisting with the financial management of the project.

Applicants will have excellent communication skills, experienced in the use of IT programmes, sound understanding of service delivery and experience of working in partnership with both the statutory and voluntary sector. A full driving licence and use of a car is essential for this post and the post is subject to a satisfactory PVG.

Community Food Pantry Worker

Community Action Blackburn

Salary: £12 per hour (£4680 per annum)

Part time – 7.5 hours per week (Will involve hybrid working)

The post will be temporary for a period of 1 Year

As part of our future development, we are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to run our ‘Waste Not Want Not’ Community Shop which runs every Thursday evening for a period of 90 minutes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall running of the shop including funding, ordering, stock taking, collation of stats & submission of monthly monitoring reports, arranging pick up of food, responsibility for volunteers and attending West Lothian Food Network Meetings.

Applicants will have excellent communication skills, experienced in the use of IT programmes, sound understanding of service delivery and experience of working in partnership with both the statutory and voluntary sector. A full driving licence and use of a car is essential for this post and the post is subject to a satisfactory PVG.
