Ethnic Minority Development Fund

Open from now until 11:59pm on Monday 15th April, the Ethnic Minority Development Fund (EMDF) is available to any ethnic minority-led voluntary or community organisation in Scotland (with a minimum grant of £500, maximum £15,000). The EMDF has been developed in partnership between CEMVO Scotland and the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland.

Organisations interested in applying to the EMDF will be required to submit an application that must do at least one of the following:

  • bringing people from ethnic minority backgrounds and communities together and building strong relationships across communities
  • helping more people from ethnic minority backgrounds and communities to be the best they can be, by supporting them as soon as possible
  • improving places and spaces that matter to ethnic minority communities

Who Can Apply

You can apply if your organisation is:

  • an unregistered voluntary or community organisation or group
  • a not for profit company
  • a registered charity (unincorporated)
  • a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO)
  • a Community Interest Company (CIC)
  • a faith-based group (like a mosque, gurdwara, temple, church, or synagogue, etc.)

Application Deadline

The fund deadline is 11:59pm on Monday 15th April; it takes around 18 weeks for a decision to be made.

All completed application forms should be submitted by email: emdf@cemvoscotland.org.uk
