Low-income and disadvantaged communities contribute the least to climate change but often face the greatest impact. They are also at the forefront of advocating for climate justice and inspiring action.

This small grants scheme supports faith groups in Scotland taking local action to address the link between climate change and poverty.

Who can apply?
Local faith groups registered as charities in Scotland, with annual incomes under £80,000 and no more than 2 full-time equivalent staff. Priority will be given to groups with limited resources.

Grant Details
Grants of up to £500 are available for local actions around the following themes:

  • Community Mobilising: Events, outdoor installations, recycling, and awareness campaigns.
  • More Effective Use of Community Land: Initiatives like community gardens or food growing projects.
  • Respecting the Environment: Local clean-up activities or making buildings more eco-friendly.
