The Corra Foundation has recently announced a series of funding opportunities aimed at supporting grassroots initiatives and community-focused projects across Scotland. Local charities, social enterprises, and community groups are encouraged to apply for these grants to help drive positive change in their communities.
Henry Duncan Grants 2024: Funding for Women-Led Organisations
In 2024, the Henry Duncan Grants will focus on supporting women-led organisations that empower women and girls within their local communities. These grants are open to charities and registered not-for-profit organisations with an annual income of £250,000 or less. Eligible organisations can apply for up to £40,000 in funding over five years, with a maximum of £8,000 available per year. Notably, 50% of the fund is earmarked for women-led Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) organisations.
There are two types of Henry Duncan Grants available in 2024:
- Grants for Women-Led Organisations
Unrestricted funding is available for organisations led by women that focus on supporting women and girls (aged 12 and above) who have experienced gender-based violence. This may include work in the prevention of gender-based violence, providing support to those currently experiencing it, or aiding survivors. - Grants for Women-Led, Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic Organisations
Unrestricted funding is also available for organisations led by BAME women that address issues affecting women and girls (aged 12 and above) within their communities. While applications from organisations working on the impacts of violence against women and girls are particularly welcome, this is not a requirement for applying.
