Mental Health Awareness Week is taking place from 13-19 May 2024, with this year’s theme focusing on Movement: Moving More for our Mental Health.
The Mental Health Foundation is eager to emphasise that regular movement is among the most crucial steps we can take to safeguard our mental well-being. Since our physical and mental health are intertwined, taking care of our bodies can also help prevent mental health issues.
Yet, many struggle to incorporate enough exercise into their routines. With various obstacles in the way, the Mental Health Foundation aims to assist individuals in finding moments for movement in their daily lives during Mental Health Awareness Week. Whether it’s a stroll around the neighborhood, dancing to your favorite tunes at home, or doing chair exercises while watching TV, every bit counts! Look out for top tips on how to get moving and maximise the mental benefits on the Mental Health Foundation’s social media channels throughout the week, or access their Top Tips PDF for your convenience.
If your organisation is participating, you can access official logos, posters, social media graphics, and copy to promote your activities and join the #MomentsForMovement initiative on the Mental Health Foundation’s website.
