Horizon Housing is a social housing provider and social enterprise which promotes and provides affordable housing and services across Central Scotland, including West Lothian. We believe that all members of society are equal and that everyone has something to contribute. We are committed to supporting the development of diverse communities which include disabled people. We work to provide homes and housing related services which offer the opportunity for people to be independent and have choice and control in their lives. The association is formed for the benefit of the community. Its objects are to carry on for the benefit of the community. The business of providing housing, accommodation, and assistance to help house people and associated families, and providing associated facilities and amenities for poor people, and providing for the relief of aged, disabled, handicapped (whether physically or with a learning disability), or chronically sick people and as a means of achieving these objects. 2.1 To provide, build and improve and manage housing and associated facilities specially designed or adapted for such people who are poor, old, sick, or who have a physical or learning disability. 2.1.2 To provide or arrange home maintenance, repair and improvement services for such people who are poor, old sick or who have a physical or learning disability. 2.1.3 To carry out any activity allowed under Section 58 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 which is charitable. 2.1.4 To provide land and buildings to meet the needs of such people who are poor, old, sick or who have a physical or learning disability. 2.1.5 To provide facilities and services for the benefit of such people either exclusively for them or together with other persons.
