Simply Play is a charity that provides Out of School Care (OOSC) to families who are working or in education throughout West Lothian. Our mission is “working together to provide high quality, accessible and affordable out of school childcare throughout West Lothian.” The organisation was formed in early 2010, following 5 years of planning, preparation and design in conjunction with Family and Community Development West Lothian, West Lothian Council, club committees and West Lothian Early Years Partnership. Simply Play provides an essential service which enables parents / carers to remain economically active. We have over 700 registered families and around 350 families using our services regularly. We have 9 clubs currently, based in each of their local communities, providing after school and holiday care for school aged children. Each of the clubs collects the children from school and looks after them while providing a variety of child-centred activities until they are collected by parents / carers.
