The Education, Children and Young People Committee is scrutinising the Schools (Residential Outdoor Education) (Scotland) Bill. The Bill was introduced on 20 June 2024 by Liz Smith MSP, the Member in Charge, and its aim is to ensure that young people have the opportunity to experience residential outdoor education.

They are looking to hear thoughts and experiences on/around the Bill’s proposals from children/young people and those who work with/deliver residential outdoor education opportunities to children/young people. They are looking to gather opinions around: accessibility, age requirements, funding, etc.
