Thousands will rally against the far right
Anti-racism campaigners in Scotland have denounced the fascist violence that has erupted in certain UK cities.
In the past week, far-right and criminal groups—incited by mainstream right-wing rhetoric and online disinformation from racist and Islamophobic agitators—have targeted mosques and hotels housing asylum seekers.
While the violence has so far been confined to cities in England and Belfast, campaigners in Scotland are urging action to prevent similar incidents and are planning to demonstrate in defiance and solidarity.
