Scottish Children’s Health Week kicks off on Monday, 2nd September! This week is dedicated to celebrating and promoting the health and wellbeing of children and young people in Scotland, while advocating for their right to the best possible health.

Children’s Health Scotland champions every child’s right to excellent health. Their My Health, My Rights Campaign aims to amplify the voices of young people regarding their healthcare concerns and priorities, while raising awareness about healthcare rights and the benefits of health-related play. Show your support by taking their Healthcare Rights Quiz and see if you’re #HealthcareRightsAware.

Here’s what to expect each day of the week:

  • #BeActive Monday (2 September) with Learning Through Landscapes: Embrace the fun of physical activity and outdoor games to boost your health and wellbeing.
  • #BeBrave Tuesday (3 September) with Winston’s Wish: Challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone to build confidence and enjoy new experiences.
  • #BeCalm Wednesday and #KeepRightsOnTrack with Together Scotland (4 September): Learn strategies to manage overwhelming emotions and stay calm.
  • #BeHappy Thursday (5 September) with Family Fund: Discover how happiness contributes to emotional health and learn lifelong skills to enhance your well-being.
  • #BeFriendly Friday (6 September) with Children & Young People’s Commissioner Scotland: Strengthen connections with friends and new people for better mental health.
  • #BeKind Saturday (7 September) with Action For Children: Practice small acts of kindness to positively impact others and your own mental health.
