The Robertson Trust is delighted to announce the reopening of its Small and Large Grants with updated funding opportunities aimed at driving meaningful change in communities across Scotland. The refreshed grant structure offers expanded support, with a stronger focus on targeted areas to help address poverty and support well-being.

Under the new funding model, the Small Grants will provide between £5,000 and £20,000 annually for a period of up to three years, marking an increase from the previous cap of £15,000. Meanwhile, the Large Grants will offer between £20,000 and £50,000 per year, representing a notable shift from the prior minimum of £15,000. These adjustments reflect The Robertson Trust’s commitment to ensuring sustainable, impactful support.

Funding applications are now open for projects that align with one or more of the Trust’s focused themes:

  • Financial Security: Supporting initiatives that enhance income adequacy, income security, manageable living costs, and financial safety nets, especially for those facing poverty and trauma.
  • Education Pathways: Preventing and reducing poverty through improved access to early years, education, and learning opportunities that can help mitigate trauma.
  • Work Pathways: Boosting access to fair employment, supporting career progression, and ensuring fair pay and hours. This also includes employability support specifically targeting regions or groups with lower employment rates.

Later this year, The Robertson Trust will introduce a fourth funding theme, building on its previous Emotional Wellbeing and Relationships theme. This upcoming theme will have a refined focus aligned with the Trust’s strategic goals.
