Disclosure Scotland are making changes to the online system that will impact the generation of application links and your applicants journey. These changes will be live from Monday 18 November 2024. They are keen to share what these changes will mean for you, the voluntary organisation, and your applicants.
- Changes to: Applying for a PVG
You will continue to use their webform to request your PVG applications. The system Volunteer Scotland currently use to request your applicants PVG link with Disclosure Scotland is changing and will no longer be available after Wednesday 13 November 2024.
Any links received by your applicants up to and including this date will have an expiry date of Sunday 17 November 2024 at midnight. Links not completed by this date will expire and you will have to start the application process again.
The new system will go live on Monday 18 November 2024, leaving a 5-day gap where Volunteer Scotland Disclosure Services (VSDS) are unable to request PVG application links.
To best prepare for the change, VSDS will close their webform from the 11 November at 5pm until the 14 November at 9am.
- Changes to: Applicants Journey
PVG application links sent to applicants from 18 November onwards will require them to do one of the following steps before completing their application.
-
- Create their ScotAccount and verify their ID upon receiving their application link
- Log into their existing account to verify their ID before completing their application
If they do not create their account, they will not be able to complete their PVG application.
