WLCAN invites local organisations to propose projects that take action for the good of the planet. They are launching their second Eco Development Fund, aimed at grassroots organisations working to address climate change at the local level. Applicants must be WLCAN members. To join, scan the first QR code to complete the membership form. The second QR code provides access to the guidance notes and application form. The deadline for submissions is 29 September at 5pm.

Last year, WLCAN awarded funding to 17 organisations across West Lothian, supporting local climate action. Projects included community wood volunteers enhancing biodiversity, gardeners contributing to local produce and reducing food miles, and repair/reuse workshops promoting the circular economy. Volunteers working on water conservation and cleaner rivers, as well as groups focused on environmental and community well-being, also benefited.

A full list of last year’s recipients and highlights of their work can be found here.
