The trust funds summer playschemes for children aged 5-16, prioritising small local schemes with diverse activities, high participation, and inclusive approaches. Preference is given to projects supporting disadvantaged or disabled children and those encouraging former attendees to volunteer. Schemes must run for at least two weeks or 10 days during summer.
Who can apply?
Grants are available to registered charities, CICs, CIOs, or exempt charities with an annual income under £100,000. Non-charities must apply through a registered charity.
Exclusions:
Funding is not available for:
- Social trips (e.g., theme parks, cinemas) unless educational or nature-related
- Charities with an income over £100,000
- Overseas projects
