West Lothian Council has launched a small grant fund of £25,000 which will use a participatory budgeting approach to determine how the funds are allocated. This means that the community of West Lothian will get to vote to decide which projects get funded.
West Lothian Community Choices are looking for organisations to apply who can deliver projects which will bring communities together to celebrate differences and tackle discrimination. Projects must be new work and not the ongoing work or to cover running costs of the organisation and must ‘help promote and improve good relations between individuals, groups and communities with protected characteristics in West Lothian’.
The deadline for applications has been extended to 10th September. Applications should be submitted to westlothiancommunitychoices@westlothian.gov.uk
