We understand that there are various ways to recruit volunteers, and a combined approach is often the most effective. You might find that volunteers come to you directly through word of mouth, or you may have your own successful recruitment drives. Alternatively, you might urgently need volunteers and are unsure where to start. Our staff can offer advice and support on best practices for volunteer recruitment and are happy to publicise your volunteering opportunities to complement your existing methods or help you begin recruiting successfully.
We maintain a database of volunteering opportunities in West Lothian. Those interested in volunteering can browse these opportunities on our website, on the Volunteer Scotland website, or in our volunteering directory during meetings with our Volunteer Advisers. We strive to keep the directory current and representative, showcasing the diverse and rewarding experiences volunteering can offer.
If your organisation is seeking volunteers, simply complete our Volunteering Opportunity Form to let us know about the role, and we will advertise it for you.
We also offer resources below to help you ensure everything is in place for recruiting volunteers.
