The Third Sector Strategy Group (TSSG) is open to all Third Sector organisations across West Lothian. This is an opportunity for you to:
- Influence the work of Voluntary Sector Gateway West Lothian
- Amplify your collective voice to local and national government and statutory bodies
- Network with peers from other organisations
The group is chaired by Louise Crozier from Citizens Advice Bureau West Lothian.
Role of the TSSG:
- Advise and guide the Gateway on sector needs at both national and local policy development levels and oversee the implementation of the work plan.
- Represent the sector’s interests at forums, ensuring a broad perspective rather than narrow organisational interests.
- Establish suitable systems for the constituencies within each thematic or geographic group, such as children and families or local regeneration planning.
- Facilitate effective communication both within the sector and between forums.
- Influence national policy and planning across the sector.
- Act as a ‘sounding board’ to offer advice to the Gateway on its future strategies and plans.
