Partnership for Parents

What we do:

Parents will be supported to understand their own unique barriers towards progression into sustainable employment.

 

They will benefit from an individual training and progression plan where they will set their own realistic targets and choose from the support available from Partnership for Parents.

Who is Eligible:
To be eligible, parents can be either not working or seeking better employment opportunities.

In addition, they must meet at least one of the follow criteria:

  • Lone parent
  • Aged under 25
  • Child under the age of one
  • Three or more children
  • Parent or child has a disability
  • From a minority ethnic family

Support Available:

  • Income maximisation advice
  • Up-skilling in:

    • Retail

    • Hospitality

    • Customer care

    • Barista

    • Sectoral skills

    • First aid for mental health

    • Becoming a workplace mentor

  • Preparing for employment
  • Becoming a workplace champion in:
    • First aid for mental health

    • Workplace mentor

  • Supported work placements
  • In-work mentor support

If you would like to find out more about Partnership for Parents, there is a Stakeholder Information Event scheduled for Friday 9th February, 10:00 – 11:00 at The Larder @ Kirkton House, 1 Allen Rd, Livingston EH54 6TQ.

This will offer a chance for stakeholders to find out more about Partnership for Parents, with an opportunity for networking afterwards. All consortium partners will be present and ready to discuss their program offerings. Tea,coffee, and cake will be provided!

Pinewood School invites impactful local charities to a fair on February 5th, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM. The event connects organizations with students in the Young Philanthropy Initiative (YPI).
